For our multimedia project we chose a trailer of the game PUBG 4. The original trailer has not a heavy Foley sound, but it has got a good score to it. We aim to emulate the sound of waves on the shore, distant explosions, gunshots hitting the wall, camera movement, breathing sounds, etc. We aim to have the score written electronically. There are various effects and other sounds at the end of the trailer to be composed electronically in the box. In terms of mixing, the strings seem to be all over the place but there are bits where the effected sound grows louder for example when the air-planes come by. In terms of mixing the Foley sounds, these sounds must be processed and then put mixed into the trailer with the score as they sound low and eq’d for most of the parts.
For the timeline, we aim to record Foley this coming Tuesday in the morning so that would give me some time to work on my jingles and the animation soundtrack. If we can successfully record required Foley, one of us will clean the recorded stuff on Wednesday. On Thursday, we aim to record the voice over that is required for the trailer and for our individual ads as well. By Friday, we also aim to finish the score done by one of the team members. So, we have everything recorded and the strings ready to be edited and mixed on Friday. That will give myself Friday and Monday the whole day to edit the sounds which will then go to be mixed. The mixing would be done by Thursday which will give us one day to do any changes before it is presented for feedback om Friday. If there are any changes or tweaks that must be done, we will be doing it over the weekend.
Meanwhile, I would be researching some happy chord progressions for the animation soundtrack and the jingle. I seek to complete the analysis of the ad and the animation by tomorrow night and have a list of stuff that needs to be recorded as if there is anything that needs to be recorded, it can be done on the Foley recording day. The website isn’t up yet but in the next few days, we will make sure that is done as well.
